Cooking Trials

Well one thing that comes with a new house is learning your way around the kitchen. Luckily I have parents who are both great cooks in their own rights so I grew up in a house full of wonderful food. Now my husband seems to have taken a shine to the kitchen as well so it looks like we will be following after my parents in that regard. Both of us love to experiment so sometimes eating with us can be a bit dangerous :-P
This week I have one recipe I tried that I will be doing for years to com, and one that'll need a little work before I serve it again.
The one that I wasn't too thrilled with was this Mac and Cheese recipie from whiteonricecouple.com

The idea sounded wonderful! However it turned out to be a lot less scrumptious that I thought. Might have to play around with the different kinds of cheeses and see if I can get it to come out better and not quite as dry flavored.

Now the one that I will be making over and over again was Barefoot Contessa's Lemon Chicken! Mmm Mmm that was GOOD. I'm going to find a way to also use they sauce to cook veggies in because it is too good to waste!
