Cooking Adventures: Pasta, Soup, and Braids

OK once again I bring you my cooking trials and adventures! Once again I found some great recipes on Pinterest (yes I know I'm obsessed!) I thought that I would share them with you and my thoughts on making them.

Looks fantastic no? Just hop along after the jump for more details!

Ok so this first lovely dish from Skinnytaste.com did as promised and came together quite quickly and was pretty much a snap to make. Now I'm thinking that this was just me but all the flavors didn't quite mesh together as well as I had hoped they would. I'm going to try this dish a few more times to see if I can get things to meld together a bit better before I hand out the final verdict.

now this potato soup was great! Just cut it all up as you are cleaning up breakfast, throw everything in the crockpot, and leave it on low! SO EASY!! And it tastes really good to boot! I'm a huge fan of potato soup, and big fan of not having a lot of dishes to clean up afterwards either!!

Now, don't let all the pretty panic you, this recipe was actually really, really easy. The only thing that I would recommend that I found out the hard way is to make sure that your dough is cold when you start to work with it. If it is room temperature it tends to be very sticky and uncooperative and you can end up with thick spots that don't bake all the way. I will say that this does make for a great table presentation and looks a lot harder than it really is. Good one to pull out for impressions ^_^
